Family Foundations

I was reading a talk by Erza Taft Benson for my Family Foundations class, entitled "To the Fathers in Israel."

It's an AMAZING talk! I would definitely recommend reading it. This is the way President Benson talks to the men about loving their wives:

“Love means being sensitive to her feelings and needs. She wants to be noticed and treasured. She wants to be told that you view her as lovely and attractive and important to you. Love means putting her welfare and self-esteem as a high priority in your life.”

This quote makes me melt!! It is sooooooo true!

Tie Dye!!

Hii :)

So, I've been tie dying a lot lately! Because Jed had to start a website for one of his classes.. so we decided to start a website on tie dye tutorials! We haven't gotten too far, because he's really busy.. but it's been fun!! :) the website is http://www.tiedyesoul.com :) Check it!!

I also had to research a lot for this, and I learned a lot about dyes.. and the dye I've been using is called procion MX dye (but I get the off brand at dharma trading company). It's really fantastic! You just need soda ash and some other stuff, but it looks so bright and stays bright!!

So I've been mixing my own dyes and making shirts :) This one is my favorite so far :)

I plan on doing a lot more too! Maybe tomorrow! :) I learned how to do peace signs, hearts, the V, and mandalas! I'll have to do some tomorrow and I'll post more pictures!

It's so much fun! I can't wait to show you more :) :)

Life Lately

Life lately has been work.. and some more work.. and sometimes Jed when he has time.. haha

Both of which.. basically suck.

And I've been sick since saturday! Yay!

But.. on the bright side, I got my hair done! It's not too much different.. It's just shorter and brown :) And I love having OTHER people dye my hair.. then it actually turns out the color I want it to be :)

I feel kinda retarded just posting pictures of myself all the time.. but I don't know what else to take pictures of... OH I've been doing ALOT of tie dye lately.. I'll post pictures of those!! Later......

Because life is kinda slow, when I'm not at work, I have a lot of time to study talks from general conference and lately a lot about temples! :) And since the Rexburg temple is just up the street, I get to go do baptisms every week! :) So blessed :) I'm so grateful for this time I've gotten, because I feel like I'm really preparing for my future! It's great :)

Hmmmm, Jed :) :) Um, he is basically amazing. He's such a great person! I am so so sos os os so os osooooo lucky! He takes care of me. Even though he's busy with work and school and everything else, I still get to see him everyday :) And that always makes me happy! But lately it's starting to dawn on me.. that he's leaving in less than two months.. which is really.. really.. depressing.. And I just don't know what to do! :( I guess I just have to wait... which sucks too.

Um, other notes..

-I've been listening to country! Shocking, I know ;)

-I think my roommate, Betsy, is scared of me..

-I CANNOT wait for Christmas :) :)

-It's starting to get cold outside.. Booooo

-I love all my roommates :)

-I'm FHE mom of our FHE group! Just basically my apartment and a boy apartment.

--I taught my first lesson for FHE at the bishop's house! SCARY! But it went well :)

My Boy Toy ;)

Yup! Jedadiah is officially my boyfriend :) :)

He is sooooo sweet to me, it's ridiculous. I've been sooo happy :)

Things have seemed to work out perfectly ever since I got to Rexburg.

I get to spend some time everyday with Jed :) Even if he had a super super busy day, he'll still come and say hi to me at work or for a little bit before curfew :)

I can't even explain to you how amazing he is! And I know I'm seeing him through rose-tinted glasses.. but he's just an amazing person!

I'm definitely one lucky girl!!

Tie Dye Dress

Yes, I tie dyed a white dress! and now it is blue and fantastic :)

Turned out so much better than I thought!

I was going to have a third picture, with me in said dress.. but when I wore it I dropped ketchup on it.. and nowwww it won't come out. :/

In other news, Life is great!! :)

I'm going to post another blog soon.. when I get the appropriate picture :) Because what good is a post without a picture? No good, that's right..

Subway and Stuff

~Soooo I've worked everyday since my first day on Wednesday. Which is awesome!

It's also been pretty borrrrring. The store has been slow since none of the students are in town yet.. Which makes me wonder how crazy it's going to be next week!

Apparently it's going to get crazy crazy crazy!! So I've been told... Greaaaaat

But that also means that I'm going to get roommates! Woo!! NO more being scared at night because I'm all alone... Scary sounds...

Who takes pictures of themselves at work? Um, me. Cause I was SOOooOoOOOOOooOoooOooo bored today!

~I really like the people I work with, at least during the week. But apparently all the old people don't work on the weekends.. cause they have kids or something... big whoop!! Juuuust kidding, I understand...

So that means that today on this lovely saturday. I got to work with a bunch of teenage boys. It was interesting. but even with them talking about how HOT the girls were at school(high school) and trying to flirt with me (which ended once Jed came in and kissed me, muahaha!)-- I had a pretty good day at work! They made me feel old. I mean really, 19?! I'm ancient!! ;)

I also get a free 6-inch whenever I work.. So that's always fantastic :) I like food! and cookies!! best :) Probably going to get me die from obesity, oh well- at least I'll die happy :)

~Sorry for the randomness- my blogging skills aren't fine tuned yet.

~So I'm just sitting on Jedadiah's apartment playing music, which seems to happen a lot :) I like when a country song comes on and he starts singing with it.. So cute :)

~I organized all my stuff! Everything is clean and has a place :) I love it! Feels so good! Maybe I'll take pictures? Hmmm.. later.

I'm happy :)

Subway Once More

So finding a job was easier than I expected! I worked hard yesterday, I turned in 8 applications and 5 resumes! And was about to go home to complete some more applications online and to turn in tomorrow(today) when I decided to try subway again (I went earlier and the manager wasn't there). I went up to the manager and told her I had experience working at subway before, she then took me in the back and shanked me. JUST KIDDING. She gave me a interview right on the spot and hired me! I start tomorrow!!

Now today's project is to clean a shower curtain, and organize my bedroom and bathroom stuff into my own sectioned off spaces of the apartment. I get first choice since all my roommates won't move in until saturday.. Hopefully none of them get mad!! I feel like I have too much stuff sometimes.. Maybe it's a good thing I came early so I have time to organize all my stuff haha :/
